THIS QUESTION IS VERY CONFUSING --IF U GOING STRAIGHT ---WHY DO YOU HAVE TO SIGNAL LEFT.

^Rant harder.

It's because (for whatever reason) people in the lane on the left might see the lack of an indicator flashing, and may therefore think you are going to turn right instead.
